For nearly three decades, the censored German version was the only one widely available in that territory. However, in 2024, a major development occurred for fans of Skyscraper . The German label announced that it would release the film on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time in its uncut , unrated form. This release restores all of the previously censored violence and action footage, presenting the film as it was originally intended, albeit without any official rating from a classification board.
