Snap4Arduino was a Snap! extension, a full Snap! implementation to interact with the physical world, through many types of electronic devices, especially those compatible with Arduino. Starting with Snap! v11, the S4A Connector library is doing this job.
Snap! is a broadly inviting programming language for kids and adults that's also a platform for serious study of computer science. It is inspired by Scratch, written by Jens Mönig and Brian Harvey and presented by the University of California at Berkeley.
Snap4Arduino requiere boards with Firmata firmware installed. Check devices section.
Just download, unpack/unzpip and click Snap4Arduino.
Choose your system: Windows 64 (or its portable option), GNU/Linux 64, MacOSX, Windows32 (or its portable) or GNU/Linux 32.
Install Snap4Arduino connector and then, just play Snap4Arduino online (you can install it as an app from the browser to run it offline).
Chromium/Chrome/Edge browsers are required
Download Snap4Arduino connector, unzip its crx folder, type chrome://extensions, select Developer mode and Upload an unpacked extension selecting that crx file (or just drag and drop it).
Just play Snap4Arduino online (you can install it as an app from the browser to run it offline).
Play online
Plugin for Chromebooks (chrome web store)
Chrome/Chromium/Edge plugin (download extension)
Last Snap4Arduino version is 10.3.6 (released on 08/01/2025) and its Snap4Arduino connector version (chrome extension)is 8.0
You can also find older releases and unmaintained versions
Snap4Arduino requires boards with Firmata firmware uploaded.
You can upload Firmata firmwares direcly from Snap4Arduino (with both desktop and online versions) to UNOs compatible boards. Or just here:
A lot of devices support Standard Firmata. Tested on Nano, Mega, Leonardo and Micro.
Many 32 bit devices support Firmata. Tested on Due, 101, ESP8266 and NodeMCU.
Standard Firmata is directly uploadable with any Arduino IDE.
Other options are: SA5Firmata, Creative Robotix Firmata, MC Firmata Collection, Robotics-unleashed, Snap4ArduinoDev, LCD Firmata and Ultrasound Firmata
quality is the only way to truly appreciate the chaotic genius of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private
This guide covers technical specifications, playback requirements, and how to ensure you are getting the "Better" version you are looking for.
The "Penguins of Madagascar (2014) Dual Audio Blu-ray" delivers a native 1080p presentation using the AVC encoder at a high bitrate, typically clocking in around 28 MBPS . Why does this number matter? Compared to the heavily compressed streams you get from services like Netflix or Amazon Prime, the Blu-ray contains 8 times more data per second of video. penguins of madagascar 2014 dual audio bluray better
A Dual Audio file contains two or more distinct language tracks embedded into a single video container (usually an MKV file). For Penguins of Madagascar , this setup provides immense value.
Format: Pre-Owned Blu-ray + DVD Plucky penguins Skipper (Tom McGrath), Kowalski (Chris Miller), Rico (Conrad Vernon) and Private ( Go to product viewer dialog for this item. quality is the only way to truly appreciate
Animated films rely heavily on vibrant colors, complex textures, and fast-paced action. Streaming services use heavy compression to save bandwidth, which often introduces artifacts, color banding, and motion blur.
Enjoy the antics of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private in the best quality possible! Compared to the heavily compressed streams you get
Anyone else compared the two? Which do you keep as default in your media server?
First and foremost, the technical superiority of the Blu-ray format is undeniable. The film’s vibrant color palette—from the jet-black and white of the penguins to the neon-lit streets of Venice and the stark, sterile labs of North Wind—is rendered in 1080p high definition with a high bitrate that streaming services cannot match due to bandwidth compression. Streaming versions often suffer from “banding” in darker scenes or pixelation during the film’s many rapid action sequences (such as the jetpack chase). The Blu-ray, however, presents every feather and explosion with pristine clarity. Furthermore, the lossless audio track (such as DTS-HD Master Audio) provides a dynamic range that makes the film’s bombastic score and sharp sound effects pop. The famous “cute and cuddly” chase sequence feels visceral, with subwoofer engagement and directional audio that a compressed Dolby Digital Plus stream simply cannot replicate.
: These releases utilize advanced audio codecs like DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD.
